Introduction and history
A warm welcome to the Long John Silver Sailing Club!
The Club began after a meeting held on the 1st of April 1996 between the founding members namely Perry Davies, Maurice Baggs, Barry Barthorpe, Brian Barthorpe and Alec Thomas.
At this meeting a Commodore, Vice Commodore, Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor were elected and an agreement made on the Clubs' rules and regulations.

The Club will only charter from companies who are bonded by the Yacht Charter Association and provide yachts that are fully insured and are equipped with all the relevant safety equipment.
